GOATS

Our small goat herd is made up of Boer meat goats & Nubian dairy goats, as well as crosses of the two. We raise goats mainly to help us keep down aggressive Himalayan blackberry patches as well as to enjoy their silly antics. We occasionally sell goat meat and it is incredibly delicious, like a cross between beef and lamb. People are always surprised at how much they like the flavor of this tender meat. We also sell goat kids to pet, or other farm homes. Boers and Nubians, being African breeds, are very heat and drought tolerant. We are constantly amazed at what they can accomplish when set out on a thorny bramble.
